I discovered 360 Cookware at the International House ware Show in Chicago a couple of years ago. After seeing a demonstration by friend and celebrity chef Akasha, I just had to own a set of 360 pans – here’s why: Due to the incredible quality of the metals used, the saucepans employ a “Vapour” Technology, which basically means than once the lid is on the pan – it creates it’s own vapour. I call it water-less cooking because you need only use 1 tbsp of water to cook virtually anything. I’m always in a hurry when cooking, so to be able to throw any veggie in my 360 pan with 1tbsp of water and have it cook on a low heat to perfection in just minutes, well – what more can I say!
It’s eco-friendly because you are using very little water and very little heat (you always use the lowest heat setting you can because the metal heats up very quickly.) There are no contaminants in the pan, which is very important to me as I refuse to use pans with toxic linings.
Using this “vapour” technology, can also cook any meat, including a whole chicken to absolute perfection – nothing ever dries out.
The 360 Slow-cooker is literally the best slow cooker on the market – an investment that will actually help you save energy and money this winter. Many of the money-saving, one-pot dinners I write about are excellent when cooked in my 360 slow cooker.
The kicker is that as far as your health is concerned, you’ll save on having to use oils and fats when cooking, as the technology does it’s magic with just water, and the veggies retain all the nutrients that are typically lost when you boil or steam them.
All 360 cookware is made in a proudly-owned family-run company in the U.S. which is also eco-friendly.
