My new green deoderant find!!

My new green deoderant find!!

Postby perk0130 on Thu Oct 09, 2008 5:11 pm

So I get the weekly http://www.ecostiletto.com (love this website too!) newsletter, and in their beauty section they showcased a new deoderant. It is called Pristine Recovery Take a Whiff Natural Deoderant, and it supposedly works better than most natural deoderants and smells like a creamsicle! uuhhmm...yum! It is $20 and the shipping is free this month since it is Breast Cancer Awareness. A portions of the proceeds goes to a breast cancer fund; the creator of the line is actually a breast cancer survivor. Check it out at https://www.pristinerecovery.com/s/TakeAwhiff.html, http://www.ecostiletto.com/index.php?/Beauty/Comments/, and http://www.totalbeauty.com/reviews/prod ... dorant..... I ordered some, so I'll let you all know how it works!

I just got the deoderant today in the mail, and just to let you all know it really does smell like an orange creamsicle!!!! Yum! I will update when I wear it for a long enough time to let you all know if it actually keeps me stink free. I'm crossing my fingers!

It is working! It doesn't keep me totally dry, but that is because it is a deoderant, not an antiperspirant. But that is ok, because I don't sweat heavily on a daily basis anyway. And actaully sweating is good for you-gets rid of the toxins...so I don't want an antiperspirant. I LOVE the smell of it (smells like an orange creamsicle, but not overpoweringly.)

I have tried other natural deoderants, and they create a weird smell on me when they mix with my sweat. This one doesn't smell like herbs (I don't know...I am sick of a lot of natural stuff smelling like vegetables...I'd rather smell fruity). Overall, this was a great buy! They have a lotion that supposedly "smells like delicious slice of lemon meringue pie. It is 100% natural, mineral oil free, phthalates free and paraben free." I really want to buy that now!!!

I purchased this deodorant lats week and tried it. Totally does not work for me. I've been usuing Pit Putty for the past 5 months and it seems to be the best so far. I was just drawn to this one because of the scent. It leaves me feeling very waxy and sticky and I have BO about an hour after my shower. Bummer. I really wanted it to work. It's very expensive and they will not refund the product. Bummer. Should have done more research on it before I purchased it. I like companies that are willing to refund you your money if it doesn't work. Those are the companies that are really trying to make a difference without making you pay for things they know won't work! Guess I will just stick with Pit Putty. Has anyone tried the new Pit Putty scent (geranium & lime)?

I've been using the SDB's Keeping Abreast of It deodorant spray. I bought a 1 oz. sample for $3.95 and I still have 1/4 bottle left and have been using it for atleast a month. I've had some wetness at times, but not bad, and stink less than when I used Ban solid with aluminum.

There's no money back guarantee, but the sample is cheap so if you don't like it you don't feel ripped off. I plan to order the larger size soon.

I am liking the simply divine deoderant too. The sample lasts so long! I haven't smelled at all.

I recently discovered a new one from Mbeze (www.mbeze.com) that has been working beautifully! No smell at all at the end of the day and although it's cooler now so hard to tell if it's working on the wetness, I haven't noticed any of that either. They come in little deodorette sticks that have a gorgeous design and are small enough to carry around with you during the day in case you do need to re-apply. I'm loving it!

Like many, I've been having a difficult time finding a new deodorant. After reading OG's review of the MBeze deodorette, I decided to give it a try. My order just arrived today. And let me say, there are the teensiest tiniest little things ever. They're adorable. But they are definitely very, very small. I have yet to try them, so I can't report on how well they work, but they smell delicious. And several samples of other products were included, too. I LOVE that. They all smell equally wonderful! Can't wait to give them a try! :)
