    Peace….
With three children (ages 9, 5 and 2), peace is something that doesn’t come very often. And many times I wish for just a moments peace. But I also remember those moments when the kids are sleeping and the house is quiet, and peaceful and there is no words….then I hear the 2-year-old say “Hi mommy” in my ear as he stands by the bed. My heart smiles…and is at peace with the universe.

The holidays come and along with it comes a great deal of stress and anxiety. Gifts to buy and so many people to see it gets a bit overwhelming. This year some of my family decided to come up to my house for Christmas and its been amazing. We decided not to do gifts this year but just to get together and make and eat good food. We’ve played in the snow, watched movies, sang crazy songs and enjoyed each others company. This has been one of the best christmas’s yet. We’ve made plans to do this every year and this means peace at the most stressful time of the year. Peace of being with my family, peace from the craziness of shopping and wondering what to get for everyone and most of all the peacefulness of being with the ones you love most of all. Thank you to my family for coming all this way and spending your holiday with me. Much love to you all.

PEACE…is exactly what my husband and I our praying about during this time as we our trying to conceive our first child. It has been a few months now and the more we try, talk about it, see other pregnant women around along with babies all over, it is hard not to want a baby right now. It has been an emotional journey sometimes to say the least, but I keep praying for peace and trust and I know when the time is right, we will be pregnant. I don’t know what I would do if I did not have peace and faith. I will be taking a pregnancy test next week, so hopefully this time around we will be blessed with a baby or two colored lines that is:) May love and peace be with all and Happy New Year!!

Peace is such a big topic and just a huge one to hope for on a big scale. I think that it can be overwhelming so I think it is most important to find peace within yourself and for your family. It is being accepting of who you are and finding joy with what you have rather than longing for what you don’t. Mostly, it is loving unconditionally those who matter the most in your life.

Peace is being present… Being present in your daily life, grateful for the things in front of you, gives you such freedom. It is so peaceful to be fully in the moment. It puts those around you at ease and just makes everything so much more enjoyable and relaxing. It is the perfect way to honor your friends and family this holiday season and the perfect way to honor yourself on a daily basis.

“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.”
    Peace to all in 2009.

Peace is what I feel when I’m happy with who I’m with, where I am, and more importantly, WHO I am. Peace is what I want others to feel when they are with me. Peace is what I strive for everyday.

When I read the word PEACE the visual symbol of the two fingers from the sixties that my parents used always comes to mind…but they had something going with that non-verbal symbol. I think we need to start this trend/greeting/homage again. Isn’t it about time that we all need to experience World PEACE? This is what I hope/wish/strive for in 2009.

Peace to me is calmness and serenity in myself and my surroundings. It is not rushing through life, but taking life’s little troubles and obstacles one step at a time. World peace begins when we find peace within ourselves and the strength to share it with others.

Peace…Often around the holidays peace and quite is hard to imagine. Remember peace is happiness and wonder to your heart. Be green in all the holiday excitement and be good to your body as well. Peace will follow:)
