I just love this Holeco kit for little tweens and teens. It’s vital that young girls start out by taking care of themselves with non-toxic products. With this pink and pretty kit, they can still have all the fun of lip glosses, nail polishes and body balms etc, but without the horrendous chemicals, which are in most products which target teens.

These beautiful Arghand soaps, which are hand-shaped by the women in this Afghan Co-op, to resemble polished river stones, are quite unique. Made with fresh pomegranates, each soap comes wrapped in a sheet of the local daily newspaper! I am so happy to find these If You Care household gloves as I’ve been on the look-out for eco-friendly rubber gloves for years! They are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified latex, and they are fair trade – good for people and good for the planet.

They are packaged in a 100% recycled, non-bleached box and the gloves are naturally biodegradable.

A good cover-up is a summer essential for me. On those days when I’m not in the mood to be waltzing around the beach in next-to-nothing, it helps to have a soft terry little something to throw over your teeny bikini. I’m a fan of Eco Panda Swimwear. All of their bikinis and swimsuits are made from recycled nylon. The bikinis are fantastic for teens or for those who don’t need too much support up top!! The terry cover-ups, which come in a variety of styles and colors are perfect for everyone and are reasonably-priced.

I am in love with these bamboo cleansing cloths. They’ve provided a solution for a long-standing problem: what is the greenest and most effective way to remove makeup and moisturize when I’m on the road? When I use cleanser and facecloths, it seems so wasteful to just use the facecloth once -yet after removing a face of makeup, you really need to toss it in the laundry. Cotton or kleenex just aren’t an option for me – to enter stage right, Kaia Cleansing Cloths!

They feel like cashmere, are infused with honey and essential oils, and are totally biodegradable. I’m sold and don’t think I’ll be travelling without a handy pack of these ever again.

When I was in Utah at the Casual Blogger’s Conference, I found out about Basa Body Products. Here’s what I love about them – they are not only free of all the chemical nasties, but they’re made from pure virgin coconut oil  – I slather the stuff all over my skin, it’s in my homemade potions and I eat it! I’m drooling over these Hemptress Bags. As the name suggests, they’re made from hemp and come in many shapes and sizes. The style pictured is the ridiculously popular “it” eco-purse of the season, the “Mercedes” in aubergine. It’s literally the perfect summer purse – cute enough to tote around day to night, and incredibly practical with it’s roomy interior and outside pockets. Ohhhhh I do love an eco purse!!

I simply adore Melissa shoes and flip flops. Melissa is an incredibly eco-friendly Brazilian shoe company and this year they have numerous styles that will have your mouth watering. The great thing about Melissa’s is that every single style I’ve tried is ridiculously comfortable, and they’re priced reasonably.
