I got a whiff of Liz Earle’s new perfume, Botanical Essence Eau de Parfum No1, when I was recently in the UK. My BFF spritzed some on herself before coming over, and I immediately HAD to know what she was wearing. She actually turned me on to Liz Earle a couple of years ago, and I love many of her products. This perfume is probably, next to her hot cloth cleanser, my favorite.
It’s created by an artisan perfumer in Grasse, France, which is where many of the world’s finest perfumes are created. He apparently took his time to create a perfume that was fitting for every thing that Liz Earle stands for: simple, natural and fresh – and yet the notes in this divine fragrance are complex too. It’s both citrusy and a little flowery, which I love because most perfumes are either or. It doesn’t lean too heavily on the citrus or the floral, but delicately blends these notes together to create a perfume that is both fresh and sexy. It’s the kind of perfume that you’ll want to wear in the morning for the day, and then perhaps have a little spritz before you go out at night. This perfume was a long time in the making, but it was well worth the wait.
